Diane has always blended her performance career with community and education work. In 2007 she founded Music in the Glen - an organisation that encompassed a string school, the Feile EIle childrens arts festival and a range of camps and events for young people.
She is a lecturer in string and workshop techniques at the Irish World Academy (UL) and is a regular guest teacher, animateur and lecturer at universities and conservatoires.
She specialises in the Dalcroze method, which she has been studying and practicing for over twenty years.
In 2016 she commenced a PhD on the impact of Dalcroze on her performance, supported by the W2 Foundation.
